Moose
Meet Moose, a deaf, 8 year old pittie with a wiggly butt, endless kisses, and so much love to give.
Moose would thrive with someone experienced with deaf dogs who can provide the guidance, visual cues, and resources he needs to understand his surroundings and feel safe. He’s looking for a calm, gentle home as the only pet, where he can enjoy his golden years beside his person.
We rescued Moose from euthanasia after he arrived at the shelter with scars on his legs and muzzle, chronic infections in both ears, and heartworm disease. We may never know everything he endured, but his love for people shines through it all.
Why you’ll fall in love with Moose:
• Super people friendly with the sweetest, loose, wiggly butt personality
• Gives endless pittie kisses
• Amazing on a leash and loves going for walks
• Fully potty trained and kennel trained
• Loves car rides and taking in the sights and smells
• Enjoys going to the vet and making friends
• A very quiet boy until mealtime brings out his happy barks!
• Very food motivated and always ready for a snack
• Loves cuddles, belly rubs, and being close to his people
• A perfect companion for cozy movie nights and peaceful mornings watching the birds
Because Moose cannot hear animals approaching, being surprised from behind can startle him and cause him to react as he protects himself and his resources. We do not know what his past was like so his food bowl, water bowl, and dog bed are very important to him. A home without other pets will give him the space to relax and not have to constantly protect himself. Patient handling, predictable routines, and gentle communication will help him thrive.
Moose is heartworm positive, and treatment will be provided through our rescue. His family will need to follow his treatment plan, including activity restrictions while he heals.
This sweet senior dreams of a soft bed, a spot beside you on the couch, and someone who makes him feel wanted every single day. He still has an energetic, playful spirit, but he’s just as happy spending an afternoon snoozing with occasional breaks for kisses and belly rubs.

Tillie
Meet Tillie, your road trip copilot, adventure partner, and sweetest little shadow!
If your perfect companion loves long walks, outdoor adventures, and going everywhere with you, Tillie is ready to ride shotgun! She is 1 years old
Tillie’s story began at an Oregon gas station, where Andrew witnessed someone throw her out of a truck and drive away. We were preparing to head home after bringing three rescue dogs to The Asher House, but we couldn’t leave her behind. She joined us for the long journey back to Texas and has been showing us her incredible heart ever since.
Now, Tillie is ready to find an active, devoted person who will give her the companionship and purpose she loves.
Why you’ll fall in love with Tillie:
• Dog friendly and very social with other dogs
• Extremely sweet with people, even rolling onto her back for belly rubs from strangers
• Incredibly intelligent and knows basic commands
• Potty trained and kennel trained
• An amazing traveler who absolutely LOVES car rides
• Handled the approximately 32 hour trip home without potty accidents or destructive behavior
• Does well at boarding
• Loves getting out, meeting people, and exploring social settings
• A high energy girl who needs daily exercise, mental stimulation, and enrichment
• Would love a job, whether that means chasing balls, joining you for runs, or learning something new
Tillie is looking for someone experienced with working breeds who has plenty of time for her throughout the week and on weekends. She thrives when she can be by your side and included in your life.
Although she is kennel trained, she can bark when experiencing separation anxiety. Her future family should be ready to patiently help her feel secure during time apart while giving her the activity and companionship she needs.
From park walks to road trips, Tillie is happiest sharing life with her people. She’s a loving, enthusiastic girl with so much to offer someone who can meet her needs.
